Here's a quick recap. We met the party: * Anonis, a mysterious Thaumatologist with an even more mysterious past. He seems to be interested in artefacts, though. * Dynamo, a dynamic (heh) Sky Ranger and captain of the *Skyborn*. * Balthier, an Engineer who fancies himself the "Leading Man", and his automaton Fran. * Uhtred, a Rogue bent on vengeance and righting an old wrong. * Doctor Bungus. There are also two characters who are currently accompanying the party: grizzled veteran soldier Beornwulf and Professor [[Maerwynn]]. Together, you 7 (8 if you count Fran) are the only survivors of an ill-fated expedition to recover artefacts from the temple at Soranger. The other two ships, with their scholars, mercenaries, and labourers, are all lost, torn apart by the chthona or the catastrophic detonation that followed. Now you head north, to the civilised world, while you contemplate what to do. It's not all bad, though. Before everything went pear-shaped, you were able to recover six items from the temple's stores. Some of them may be more interesting than others, but you have had little time to examine them so far. The [[Rúnbrandr|Rune-Sword]], however, is of extreme interest to Maerwynn and Anonis, who recognise it as a legendary priestly artefact. Perhaps it holds answers to the many mysteries swirling around you… or maybe just more questions…. Here's a picture of a chthon so you know what you're dealing with.
