It is patterned after the old forest that was emblematic of that city. In the years after The Riving, Foresthome was popular with many Skogdal refugees. In recent years, however, the number of living Skogdal residents is smaller and smaller. The boardinghouse is run by [[Edoma Wihtgilssdottir|Edoma]], Ingrid's daughter.
